Van T. Tran

Managing Director

Van T. Tran has been living and working in the Middle East for 11 years and has gained a wealth of experience and has built an enviable network. In 2007 Van began his career in Dubai working for the Wafi Group focusing on high end franchise concepts concentrating on the luxury market. Van’s career quickly developed and he was invited to join the semi government authority - The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce as Head of Business Development and Marketing. His core focus here was to grow foreign investment in the region and to introduce sustainable development to corporates. He went on to develop the regional branch of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) which is headquartered in Geneva. This ignited major sustainable investment initiatives in the region including Eco-Home in collaboration with the World Future Energy Summit, an iconic event supported by Masdar and Mubadala. An achievement Van is very proud of is then creating the WorldGreenCitizen.org foundation which is headquartered in Paris, France.

Van has an MBA in International Marketing & Business Management, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineer from Paris, France. 


In 2010 Van became a shareholder of Aliance Middle East and developed high net worth investment portfolios across many segments including hotels, food and beverage, entertainment and sports and wellness. 


In 2012 Van acquired Aliance Middle East and restructured the business around its core services which were to assist investors & business owners in starting their business, find seed funding or expanding their existing operations in new emerging territories. He formed a new board of directors and operational team with highly qualified experts and visionaries from various industry fields:




Mark A. Swann

Senior Wealth Management Advisor

Mark qualified as a lawyer in 1994 but upon realizing the law was not for him, entered banking with NatWest. Here he found his niche in his dream role, a financial consultant for SME’s and High Net Worth private individuals in the UK. After two years with the bank he entered private practice. Mark’s approach was always based upon people and partnerships, he realized quickly that trust and consistency was the bedrock for success. After building a successful reputation he received interest from overseas consultancies and travelled to both the Far East and the Middle East to meet certain firms.


Dubai stood out and late 2007 saw the move and Mark has been in the Gulf since then. With small projects globally he has lived the majority of the 11 years in Dubai. Consistently involved with the regulator here in the Gulf Mark has continuously pushed further with voluntary qualifications and maintained the ever advancing UK level qualifications despite this not being required in the Middle East. This level of professionalism and commitment to client’s goals and needs has delivered a reputation that is amongst the highest in the offshore industry. He has held senior management and training roles within the two largest offshore firms globally such is his ability to lead and instill high standards and values within his teams.


Nuong Doan

Associate Director

Nuong holds a BA in International Business from Lahti University of Applied Sciences in Finland where she lived for four years. She also holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Gloucestershire in the UK, which she obtained with Merit.

She also has graduated from the PGCAP program from Heriot-Watt University.


She built her career in the Investment Management industry in Vietnam and Singapore. She worked as a Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Kusto Group, then as a Sales Marketing Strategy and Business Analyst. She also worked for Mercatus Capital Investment in Singapore as an Investment Officer and Special Assistant to the Chairman handling investment opportunities evaluation and VIPC Capital Management. She has also been an entrepreneur since February 2010, co-founding a consultancy firm specialized in business matchmaking and digital marketing.


Norman Lowe

Certified Senior Investment Advisor

Norman's core field of expertise is personal financial planning, including developing your own method of investing that fits your goals and style. He is a Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments qualified advisor who can help you avoid common pitfalls when investing through banks and financial companies. He can also help with general mentoring and coaching in the fields of relationships and self development.


Dawn Franklin

Project Director

Senior financial planner and serial business networker Dawn Franklin has been working in the financial services industry for over 16 years and has previously practiced in Wales, London and Switzerland before settling in the UAE 8 years ago.


Dawn accredits her success in her industry to honesty, integrity and her genuine passion for helping others.


Dawn is also the founder and chair person of one of Dubai’s leading business networking groups where carefully selected business leaders and entrepreneur’s meet regularly to build strong business relationships to help, advise and support one another in a trusted environment.


Due to her extensive knowledge, industry experience and trusted reputation in the region Dawn has also been asked to write articles that have been featured in local business magazines and is regularly invited to speak at local and international business events.


With Dawn’s extensive industry expertise and knowledge and with her vast regional and international network Dawn is a perfect fit as Project Director.


Hong Le

Customer Relationship Manager

Hong has vast experience in various positions related to community relation and cross-cultural advisory for local and international firms and development projects as well. She also has developed her skills in database analysis, management, business development and projects coordination.


During her various assignments and roles, she gained valuable skills in organizing international events, workshops, conferences and delegations. She has built up a well-respected and successful profile in all firms and clients she works for in segments as Retail, Import Export, Food & Beverages and Hospitality.
